Unit C

Villa Mariuccia is located uphill from Stresa, in the village of Massino Visconti. Dating from the 15th century, the villa is related to the nearby Visconti castle. The owners have restored the villa with great care, maintaining many of its original features. The property faces the lake and the location is peaceful and quiet, even though it is just a few meters from the shops, cafés and restaurants in the village. The large shared swimming pool offers panoramic views over the lake.

Villa Mariuccia is divided into three separate units, each with independent entrance from the patio; an fourth apartment is occupied by the owners on weekends and in August.

The villa can be rented as separate apartments, or it can be joined and rented comfortably by one larger group. There is space to cook and dine together.

A sports club in nearby Lesa (4 km downhill), with tennis courts and an Olympic-sized pool, can be used by guests for a daily or weekly fee. The beach is just four kilometers from the villa, and there are two golf courses within ten minutes' drive (plus seven more within an hour). The ferry to the other resort towns and islands docks at Belgirate, a ten minute drive. The highway entrance is just four kilometers from the villa.

From the parking area there are about 15 steps to reach the garden. Please note that all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are located upstairs; therefore, this property is not suitable for guests with walking problems.

UNIT A (sleeps 4):
Located on the ground and second floors, this unit is accessed from the patio. Downstairs there is a large sitting room with a fireplace, a dining table that seats eight, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and American style coffee maker. Two bedrooms (a double and a twin) and a large modern bathroom with shower are located on the second floor.

UNIT B (sleeps 2):
This second floor unit can be rented together with Unit A or Unit C but is not rented alone and does not have a kitchen of its own. Guests who are renting Units A & C may want to rent this unit if they want the patio to be private, as it is sometimes used by guests of the owner. There is a double bedroom with French doors opening onto the large terrace, an additional balcony on the other side of the room. Next door is a large modern bathroom with tub.

UNIT C (sleeps 4):
Located on the second floor and third floors, this apartment is accessed from the upper balcony. On the second floor are double bedroom with a lake view and French doors opening onto the balcony, terrace, bathroom, kitchen, and a small sitting room. A second bedroom with twin beds is located in the mansard upstairs.

Amenities: satellite TV, stereo, fans, and telephone with modem Internet connection.
