This comfortable little flat was renovated in 2001 and is cozy and well equipped. It is located in the historical center of Venice, near the Rialto Bridge and Ca' d'Oro public boat service stop. A private entrance on a quiet little street leads to the ground-floor apartment, which is furnished with a combination of antiques and more modern pieces and outfitted with nice linens and crockery, good lighting, and many thoughtful touches to make your stay in Venice most memorable. Santa Sofia is perfect for a honeymoon couple, or for one or two persons who don’t require a lot of space but prefer a lot of charm. Everything is within walking distance – markets, restaurants, shops, and the “vaporetto,” the typical Venetian water bus.

The Cannaregio sestiere of Central Venice is a lively district with a very authentic Venetian atmosphere. At the heart of Cannaregio is the Ghetto, where the entire Jewish population of Venice was required to live from sunset to sunrise for almost three hundred years. Visit the beach or the islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello, and San Michele.

You will feel like a native as you shop in open-air markets and dine in small local restaurants. The train station is a ten minute walk or ride, and there are food shops, coffee bars, a post office and a variety of restaurants within a few minutes' walk.
