What we collect
When you visit our website, we receive the standard information your browser sends to any website: your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you view, the referring website, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the site working and to understand which content is useful.
When you fill out an inquiry form, subscribe to our newsletter, or send us an email, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, travel dates, preferences, and any notes you share with us. We use that information to respond to you and to design your trip. We do not sell it.
We do not collect payment information through this website. When a booking is confirmed, payment is handled directly between you and the villa owner, or through a separate payment platform with its own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To answer your inquiry and prepare villa recommendations
- To coordinate the on-the-ground vendors who provide the services you book through us — the villa owner or property manager, the private chef, the boat captain, the driver, the cooking class instructor, the tour guide, the truffle hunter, the florist for a wedding, and other local providers whose service is part of your trip
- To send the newsletter you signed up for (one email per month at most, unsubscribe in any of them)
- To improve the website and content based on what readers use
- To comply with US and Italian travel-industry regulations as an IATA-accredited agency
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to remember your shortlist and your search preferences during a visit. These cookies stay on your device unless you clear them; they are not shared with anyone.
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and villas readers find most useful. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous, aggregated data about site usage. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising and do not allow Google to use the data for its own marketing.

Who we share with
When you book a villa, we share the information necessary for the booking with the villa owner or their property manager. This is usually your name, party size, dates, and contact information. We share no more than is needed for the booking.
When you book add-on services through us — a private chef, a boat day, a cooking class, a guided tour, a transfer, a wedding planner, a florist, and so on — we share with each vendor only the information they need to provide that specific service. For a chef, that is usually your dates, party size, and dietary requirements. For a driver, it is your pickup, drop-off, and arrival time. For a wedding florist, it is the venue, the date, and any colour or style notes you have given us. Each vendor sees their slice of the trip, never the whole file. We have working relationships with these vendors and ask them to handle your information responsibly; for the rare large-scale or high-profile booking we will request a written confidentiality acknowledgement before any details are passed on.
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site: a website host, an email provider, and Google Analytics. Each of those providers has its own privacy commitments. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Your choices

- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by using our contact form
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to any records we are required to keep for tax or regulatory purposes
