A trullo compound on a former fortified farm in the Itria Valley, restored without losing the conical limestone roofs that make the region's architecture distinctive. The compound is small, four cones knitted into a single living plan, with stone walls thick enough to keep the interior cool through August. The pool sits in a white-paved courtyard between the cones, screened by olive trees. Alberobello is fifteen minutes away for the photographed centre; Ostuni is twenty minutes for the longer dinner. The fortified history means the building reads as a single fortress from outside and as a series of vaulted rooms inside, which suits a small group that wants the trulli experience without a hotel. Olives, almonds, and figs fill the lot; the figs come ripe in late August.

While the outside of Villa Coki is a superb area for spending leisurely hours, its interior space is limited, consisting of just a small sitting room with large TV, and an independent fully equipped kitchen.
The latter is a spacious and inviting room with limestone walls and a vaulted ceiling, and it may serve also as a dining room on those few days when the weather is less than perfect.
The kitchen opens onto the sun-drenched terrace where you can enjoy outdoor living and the great Mediterranean climate.
