Chianti
A six-bedroom villa with a private spa, set among century-old olive groves between Florence and Siena.
Villa Morea sits between Florence and Siena, on a property of century-old olive groves with a stone-paved pool, manicured lawns, a pergola for long lunches, and a covered patio with a dining table for twelve. The villa is set across a main building and a separate annex, which together accommodate twelve guests across six en-suite (or shared) bedrooms.
The wow moment is the private spa — Turkish bath, sauna, Jacuzzi and a relaxation area, open daily from 9 in the morning until 7 at night. Indoors: a black-and-white dining room around a fireplace, a billiard room with a bar, a wicker-furnished veranda, and an entertainment room with a satellite TV. The garden has a children's area with swings and a treehouse, which is the reason we often book this one for three-generation trips. Tavarnelle is five minutes away for groceries; Siena and Florence are about three-quarters of an hour each.
