Chianti
A seven-bedroom Chianti retreat at the end of a half-mile dirt road, with private river access and two pizza ovens.
Villa Trionfante sits in deep woodland at the end of a half-mile private dirt road, on a property arranged across three buildings — a main villa and two separate annexes — that together house fourteen guests across seven en-suite (or shared) bedrooms. The setting delivers the silence and privacy you don't usually find this close to Florence; the contemporary interiors and meticulously restored architectural details deliver the polish.
The pool is fifteen metres long with depth enough to swim properly. Beyond it, the estate has its own stretch of river — calming and slow, with a dining table, sun loungers and a relaxation area set right beside the water. Two pizza ovens, multiple alfresco courtyards, manicured lawns through dense vegetation. Florence is about forty minutes by car; Siena, about an hour.

A nonna and a long wooden table. Fresh pici, ribollita, tiramisu, and a bottle of the house red. Half a day, ending with the meal you made.
