Villa Florbianca is a contemporary penthouse on the fourth and top floor of a Florentine palazzo, reached by elevator. Its best room is outside: a covered terrace with a dining table and lounge chairs, looking across the rooftops and domes of the city — made for breakfast in the sun and long dinners after dark.
Inside, the look is crisp and modern — soaring white ceilings, arched windows, grey polished floors and bold splashes of red. An open living and dining room leads up a floating staircase to the second level; two king bedrooms, one on each floor, each have a private marble bathroom.

Villa Florbianca is in the Ognissanti quarter, a block from the Arno on the west side of the historic centre. Santa Maria Novella and its station are about eight minutes on foot, the Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo just over ten.
