Villa Peduzzi sits on a hilltop in Pigra, a small village high above the western shore of Lake Como. The villa spans four floors, recently renovated with a minimalist aesthetic — clean lines, soft muted tones, large windows that frame the surrounding peaks and the lake far below.
The ground floor holds the social spaces: a serene library, a piano salon, generous living and dining rooms, a sunroom, a fully equipped kitchen. The first and second floors hold the eight en-suite bedrooms, most with small private balconies. The third floor is entertainment — a TV lounge, a games room with a pool table, a panoramic sitting area, a kitchenette, two rooftop terraces for al fresco dining. An elevator reaches the first and second floors; the third is up a set of stairs.
Outdoors: a stunning modern pool house and an architecturally striking heated infinity pool (22 × 6.5 m) with an integrated whirlpool area, both perfectly positioned to showcase panoramic views of the mountains and the lake. Inside the pool house: a fully equipped kitchen serving an al-fresco dining area. The villa is nestled within four and a half acres of meticulously landscaped gardens, with a children's playground and a charming treehouse for younger guests.
Service is full: a daily chef cooks lunch and dinner (up to two hours per service), Continental breakfast each morning, waiter service throughout, and a resident local manager and concierge. The high season includes a complimentary cooking class with the resident chef and a piano night in the salon. The villa's private boat with a certified captain can be added on request for short lake excursions.
The village of Pigra is at the villa's front gate, with the cableway down to Argegno on Lake Como five minutes by ride — or twenty-five minutes by the winding hill road. From Argegno the ferry connects to Bellagio, Tremezzo, Menaggio and the rest of the western lake.

The most cinematic of the lake's villas, reachable only by water. The gardens, the loggia, the rooms exactly as they were when the last owner left them.

Mistral at Villa d'Este on the water for the Michelin night out. Il Gatto Nero in Cernobbio above the lake (long the favourite of George Clooney and most of his neighbours) for the more local one.

Como has been Europe's silk capital since the 1500s. A morning workshop at a family silk house — printing, weaving, or scarves — at one of the producers our concierge knows.
